Ronnie McCann’s coaching is built on a foundation of simplifying the game while making sure every golfer plays to their strengths. His techniques blend technical precision with mental clarity, focusing on what really matters in your game.

About Ronnie

Ronnie McCann is no stranger to the world of golf. With over a decade of experience as a PGA Tour player and 20 years as a professional caddy—most notably for John Daly—Ronnie has been immersed in the game at its highest levels. Hailing from South Africa, he moved to the U.S. at age 14, where golf became not just a passion but a family legacy. Both his stepfather and mother were professional golfers, and this early exposure to top-tier talent shaped Ronnie’s journey in the sport.

As a player, Ronnie competed on some of the world’s biggest stages, including the PGA, Nike, and Sunshine Tours, securing over 100 victories on the mini-tours. His time as a caddy gave him an inside look at the minds of the world’s greatest golfers—Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and, of course, Daly—learning how champions think and play under pressure.

Today, Ronnie is a dedicated coach who brings his unique blend of experience, strategy, and simplicity to golfers of all levels. Whether coaching juniors with big dreams, amateurs looking to refine their game, or pros aiming to sharpen their edge, Ronnie’s goal is the same: to make the game simpler, smarter, and more enjoyable for every golfer he works with.

See what John Daly has to say:

“My son is a high-level junior golfer, and we are based in Vancouver, Canada. We travel to see Ronnie as often as we can, and he comes to visit us for instruction and tournament play in the summer. When we can’t see Ronnie in person, we connect virtually on the range. It is actually just like being on the range with him in Orlando. The quality of Ronnie’s coaching is unparalleled, and we are fortunate to have him working with our son. They have a fantastic working relationship.”

Through Ronnie’s guidance, golfers learn not only how to hit better shots but why those adjustments make all the difference.

Real People. Real Results

Ronnie’s coaching starts with understanding how his students think about golf. Whether it’s knowing if they’re left or right-eye dominant, how they visualize the course, or their mindset when approaching each shot, Ronnie tailors his guidance to fit the individual. His approach emphasizes clarity, minimizing technical jargon, and focusing on fundamentals that are easy to grasp and implement.

For junior golfers, Ronnie has a special gift—he speaks their language. His ability to connect with young players and break down the game in a way that feels intuitive has helped many juniors achieve tournament success and secure college scholarships. He’s just as effective with adult players, helping them improve not only their mechanics but also their course management and mental resilience.

Whether in-person or virtually, Ronnie’s coaching focuses on making each lesson simple, strategic, and impactful. It’s not just about hitting the ball farther or straighter—it’s about thinking like a pro and making smarter decisions on the course.

“We were very fortunate to have met Ronnie at an HJGT tournament in Orlando. We connected right away, and Ronnie has become a major part of our golf family. Not only is Ronnie a great coach, but he is also so knowledgeable about the game, and he knows how to speak “KID.” He really knows how to connect with junior golfers.”
David M., Amateur Golfer

“When you think about Ronnie’s background, he played college golf at Miami, he played professionally ( Ronnie still holds the low score at West Orange CC with a 58) and he caddied for some of the best on the PGA Tour, which maybe the most important part of Ronnie’s background. He has been on the PGA tournament practice ranges watching and studying the tour player coaches and how they teach and manage their players. Ronnie has capitalized on these experiences to help and develop his stable of junior golfers. He treats his up-and-coming juniors like professionals on all aspects of the game.”
Karen L., Parent of a Junior Golfer
